EMBERS IN THE MIST

This novel (set in the 1600's) depicts the birth of the IRA and the heritage of hatred, bloodshed, and intolerance. Have you ever wondered where the hatred and terrorism begins? Why do children learn to make bombs and kill their neighbors? Driven to understand the hostilities in modern day Ireland, the author uses historical research to understand the beginnings of the IRA.

Sheila uses the lives and families of Shalan and Phillipe to explain the initial seeds of conflict that led to the IRA. Shalan is the daughter of Irish rebels and Phillipe is the nephew of Lord Cromwell of England. Through their lives and love they provide a symbolic understanding of the struggles of their countries. Embers In The Mist is a historical adventure/romance filled with tragedy, intrigue, suspense, romance, betrayal and passion. Bridgette which is a sequel to Embers in the Mist is currently underway.
